Arduino Day is marked in more than 100 countries every 16 March. Schools, universities, organisations and hobbyists all take part, showing Arduino boards and what people build with them, and talking about open source and why it matters for a community.
We held it at the ASPU (Al-Sham Private University) theatre, together with the Mechatronics Club at the Syrian Computer Society, the Robotics Club at the Faculty of Informatics of the University of Damascus, and the Voluntary Ambition Team from the Faculty of Computer and Automation Engineering at Damascus University.
I co-organized the day with Alia Hamwi and Louay Abo Al-Zahab. It was sponsored by Al-Sham Private University and the Syrian Computer Society.
